Continue learning

"You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives."

- Clay P. Bedford

Thank you for your interest in tutoring a child through Lawyers for Learning! If you are interested in signing up to be matched with a student, please complete this form with all requested information. You should submit this form whether you are a new or returning tutor. Please note that we no longer issue paper applications.

After we receive your application, we will work with the school to match you with a student at one of your available time slots. Tutoring occurs once per week, at the same time each week. If we are able to match you with a student, we will notify you by email. Tutoring for the 2016-2017 school year begins on October 17th.

Please also note that if you are interested in tutoring but cannot commit to tutoring once weekly, you may split the tutoring duties with another colleague.

Tutoring takes place at Buffalo School #18 at 750 West Avenue in Room 205.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ashlyn Capote at amcapote@kslnlaw.com or .

All volunteers will be subject to a background check prior to being matched with a student. Please note that record of conviction will not necessarily prevent you from tutoring; it is simply for the safely of our students.
